Mike Luo

Blaxland

Mike Luo is a data scientist, entrepreneur, and a lifelong libertarian. He grew up in Granville and has academic backgrounds spanning the fields of actuarial science, economics, law, and film. Mike believes that freedom of speech is the foundation to all other freedoms, and that controlling speech is the first step toward a system of authoritarian rule. He believes that the government should get out of people's private lives, both culturally and economically, so that people could live fulfilling lives in their own unique ways.

Mike is an advocate for lowering the tax burden governments place on their people so they have more money for their families. During Covid, he was among one of the many thousands of people stuck overseas when Australia lifted its drawbridge against its own citizens. This strengthened his resolve to take action and preserve the freedom for everybody.

Prem Wakeman

Hunter

Prem Wakeman has been proud to call The Hunter home, for the past 36 years. His main career to date has been in stores and logistics, through which, Prem has developed a strong work ethic, and an innate understanding for systems and inventory management. He feels his love for the area, and his professional approach, puts him in a great position to work both ethically and productively with the people of The Hunter.

During and after the COVID period, Prem began to recognise the propaganda and misinformation, and how it is used to control the hearts and minds of regular people. He is a strong believer that history repeats itself; and without ensuring that history has been told to us truthfully, people in power will keep making the same mistakes. Prem believes this is the main obstacle preventing everyday people, from reaching their full potential for a rewarding and fulfilling life.

Prem believes free speech is essential for all Australians that feel they want to voice their concerns, their needs, and their dreams. When done without intention to harm, open conversations can develop a better understanding between all Australian citizens, who want the best for their families, communities, and country.
