Around the world, we are seeing a Libertarian revolution.
Argentina recently voted in the world’s first Libertarian leader. President Javier Milei promised to ‘take a chainsaw’ to government—and he is delivering. Argentina once rivalled Australia as one of the richest countries, but socialism plunged them into poverty. Now, in just one year, Milei’s government has cut spending by 30%, abolished nine ministries and 200 regulations, and reined in the decades-long hyperinflation. He even tackled the housing crisis overnight by rolling back rent controls. Argentina’s rapid economic recovery under Milei’s bold reforms is undeniable.
In the USA, Trump’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) echoes these libertarian principles, taking aim at government waste and bureaucracy. America has now exited the Paris Climate Accord and the World Health Organisation, reversing globalist policies. Similar libertarian movements are gaining traction across the UK, New Zealand, Canada, and Europe, signalling a global shift towards individual freedom and smaller government.
But what about Australia?
Here, Labor, the Greens, and Teals double down on authoritarian socialism, doing their worst to destroy our economy and society. And where is the opposition? The Liberal-National coalition offers no real alternative—just a watered-down version of Labor's big-government agenda.
Instead of rejecting the anti-human, environmentally destructive net-zero agenda, the coalition plays along. Instead of opposing censorship, spying, digital ID, and ‘hate speech’ laws, they support these Big Brother impositions. The biggest contributor to the rising cost of living is the cost of government, yet instead of drastically cutting taxes and waste, they tinker at the edges. And despite the damning evidence now before us, they still support the unchallenged power of unelected, pharma-funded health bureaucracies.
Labor deserves to lose, but the coalition doesn’t deserve to win.
Australia needs the Libertarian Party more than ever.
That’s why I am standing for the seat of Lyne and supporting Craig Kelly for the Senate. Many of us moved here to escape top-down control; we want to enjoy our beautiful surroundings in peace, and keep Canberra bureaucrats out of our lives and pockets.
If you’re tired of Labor’s heavy-handed policies and the Coalition’s spineless
compromise, you need to vote Libertarian this election. Let’s send a clear
message to Canberra: we want real change, not more of the same.
Sincerely,
Mark Hornshaw
Libertarian Candidate for Lyne
