I welcome the announcement by Premier Chris Minns to remove lockdown era regulations requiring patrons of venues to sit down while eating or drinking while outside.
This reform contains only the faintest veneer of vibrancy and while positive it is otherwise unremarkable and will not seriously revitalise night life and fun in our state.
Ultimately this low hanging fruit is more beneficial for pubs than it is the public.
I call upon Premier Chris Minns and the Minister for the Night-time Economy John Graham, to support my bill and allow for the public consumption of alcohol in parks, beaches and elsewhere.
Make Sydney fun again!
