Dr Kerry Chant should apologise and then resign as NSW Chief Health Officer

On 2GB's Ben Fordham Live this morning I called for the Chief Health Officer of New South Wales Dr Kerry Chant to apologise and resign. This follows a careful review of the Commonwealth Government's 877-page Covid-19 Response Inquiry Report. The sobering report details endless examples of government mistakes that hurt millions. Premier Berejiklan endlessly said she was relying on the experts - the principle so-called expert was Dr Chant.

Our political leaders lazily accepted recommendations from Dr Chant and whenever it was decision-time Dr Chant erred towards excessively draconian harmful decisions. These are the findings of the Commonwealth's report.

The non-exclusive list of key highlights from the report show the lockdowns were not evidence-based, the majority of the population were at low-risk of serious symptoms and should not have been locked down, the safety and potential risk of warp-speed vaccines was dogmatically downplayed (as were vaccine injuries), sceptics were bullied and alternative treatments were condemned without proper scrutiny and worse.

It would be a dereliction of duty to retain someone with such a poor track record in such an influential position. We are repeatedly told another pandemic is around the corner. I am sceptical but if true do we really want the same unelected 'expert' making the decisions?

Other Chief Health Officers around the nation have apologised and stepped aside. So should Dr Chant.
