A Plebiscite for the Lead Candidate position for the NSW Legislative Council (upper house) at the 2027 NSW State Election will be held on Saturday, 13th December 2025. Both in-person and online attendance is open to the public but you must RSVP before the deadline to receive a Zoom link to attend online. RSVPs for online attendance will close at 5:00pm on Friday, 5th December 2025.
Under the NSW Constitution, to be an eligible Voting Member for the Plebiscite you must:
- Be a resident of NSW.
- Attend the Plebiscite either in-person or remotely.
- Be a current financial member who has held financial status for at least six (6) continuous months immediately prior to the date of the AGM.
A financial membership that has both lapsed and is subsequently renewed in the period between the previous AGM and the following AGM (inclusive) shall be considered continuous.
